Modern Day Slavery

It amazes me that slavery still exists in the world today, several cases have appeared in the UK this year and they say that many criminals are running prostitution houses all over the UK, most of the girls are forced or tricked into slavery, this has got to change,  India is a problem where many are forced to work for a pittance, this is happening throughout the World fed by the wests demand for cheap clothing and electrical goods, the government needs to do something and that needs to be now slavery has to be stamped out NOW, please see   http://walkfree.org/commit

DWP & ATOS

Just have to have another go at these mad unthinking people who are tasked to remove benefit rather than grant it, is it possible that the more you turn down the better your pay at the end of the month, just what book do they use to stop benefit, if you cast the net totally you will get the people who are in most need, is that acceptable you hard working people who the Tory party rate so highly?, is it right that the needy are left to get on with it?, or are you people going to accept this disgrace?, it amazes  me just where people get the idea that people with a disability get paid so much money they should be gratefull, that is not the case at all, many are now getting little or nothing at all, the next thing for them is eviction made homeless all because you are happy to allow this government to treat these people like scum, these are not people who are on the fiddle, they have no idea as to how to work the system so end up getting slaughtered by ATOS and the DWP, while you sit at home on your New Year Holiday just think how many are on the streets, how many have to use the food bank, how many children have gone without are you hard working people proud?, you should be ashamed allowing the government to behave in this way, I hope you never find yourself in this position  with no one to help you in your hour of need.

Then we have the people who consistently fiddle the benefit system, just why is it that the DWP do not get a grip of these people, landlords fiddling extra benefit making a fortune out of us, but oh I forgot it is far easier to attack sick people rather that fiddlers, and of course they are frightened to death as soon as you mention ethnic minority groups abusing the system, programs on TV have proved that migrants are living in sheds and paying rent, I understand  that they  are claiming housing benefit for this accommodation!!!! if you can call it that, who is providing this accommodation I will leave you to guess!!!.    

Middle East

WE still have death and destruction going on in the Middle East, religious groups against one another, we can only hope that some sort of common sense will prevail!!, but I think not, just why can't they talk and come to some compromise ?, as I have said so many times before I feel so desperately sorry for the life the kids are living, no school or very little, many have no proper clothing for the weather they are experiencing, no real warmth living in camps relying on help from anyone who might offer it, it has to be sorted out soon it just can't go on some one somewhere needs to stop it bang heads together and sort it out once and for all, I just hope for these kids that 2014 is the year the horror stops. 

Benefit

Todays benefit has been set as low as possible to force people back to work to become one of the Tory party's "Hard Working Members of todays Society", are you one of them??, now I submit that just because you have a job it does not make you a hard working person, most people in work are looking for the easy life, some to do as little as possible, I know I have worked with them, they turn up late for work and always want to leave early, so what makes that hard working person any better than you normal out of work person, in truth there is non, yes there are the fiddlers some very prolific but we can't label everyone the same, most people looking for work are very hard working when they can manage to get a job, it is no good smashing these people to pieces they are good people who are going through a rough patch, so we should look after them till they can obtain work after all there is not much about for people to apply for so just what can they do??, the government seem to think the best way is to bully them and keep bullying week after week till they submit and their self respect is destroyed, why is it that some are having to find large rent payments then all the other bills, it is not surprising that they are at their wits end as to how they will survive not only them personally but their Kids as well but who cares??, we have some of the population hating some of the unemployed because they are getting some form of benefit, I can understand this when you look at some of the cheats, but really take a look would you employ some of them??, some dress like tramps have no self respect are covered in tattoos and have no work etic instilled into them, lack of it in the school!,  teachers never had the work ethnic on the  curriculum, and none at home, so is it little wonder that we are in such a state. For many years we have had young girls who wanted to leave home getting pregnant just to be able to obtain a social housing flat, in many cases their parents condoned this so is it not surprising that we have young people who respond in the way that they do, so what is the answer?, many countries in Europe have young people when they finish school do work experience for twelve to eighteen months may be better called some form of community service not to be confused with the service that is provided by the probation service for offenders who have to do community work as part of their sentence.

I have to say that we can't go on blasting some of these unemployed they need help and understanding rather than the big smash  that is happening now, we  need to get a grip of the people who are abusing the system and send them to prison, the ones who are suffering because of the present benefit laws should be allowed to receive a benefit that  is at an acceptable level keeping families together rather than destroying them, money has to be saved so looking about there are plenty of places in government where savings can be made.  

The DWP & ATOS

Its Christmas so I should not be nasty but I really can't help it!  these two vindictive groups of people who sit in judgement of people with a disability are vindictive and nasty in the extreme, now you hard working people that the government hold up as the cream as the country seem the believe that the people who happen to claim benefits are the dross of the World, well you hard working people should hold your heads in total shame!!, you are allowing this government to treat disabled people as second class people, do you realise that when people try to claim disability payments they are routinely refused, that means that they go on the appeal tread mill, meaning months of waiting no chance of finding out just what is happening to your claim, so you are left hanging on!!!, no idea just when you are going to know what is happening this takes up to 11 weeks then it is usually refused so then a full appeal in Peterborough  that means a further 35 weeks wait, just short of a year all told, you hard working people is this what you allow in your name?  because the government always mentions the hard working people as if you support everything they are doing to cripple the country's disabled, I am sorry that I put it that way but there it is!, in my mind the only reason the government loves you hard working people so much is only because you have to pay tax and National insurance if you should find yourself disabled you will find out just what it means to be involved with the DWP and ATOS.

I have made a New Years resolution "I will ask the DWP just what the hell is going on  a weekly basis" just maybe they will respond but if not I will continue till they do.

Lee Rigby Trial

So now we can talk about this nasty vindictive crime of murder, not a soldier killing in a war situation but a butcher on the street using a religion to excuse his madness, one of them has I believe 6 children what a dad to have! who is looking after them now?? is it us?, I do not know but I hate to think that my taxes might be supporting any part of his family, now his brother has said that he will not condemn his brother and that he had every right to act as he did, well in my sad mind that to me means that if that is what he believes he should find a country that would accept this point of view, I do hope this man and his family are not living of the benefits that this country offers because with an admitted belief such as this he should be not welcome in this country and should be asked to leave as soon as possible I really hope that MI5 and 6 have made a note of this man and his ideals.

Syria the Forgotten War

I just wonder what has been happening to the news from Syria, so much has overtaken it, so much about South Africa but little about Syria, it is bad enough for the adults involved but the children makes you cry, these poor little tots no proper clothing and no shoes would we accept that for our children? I think not, the weather has changed and now snow is the predominant weather outlook, it will get no better for these poor might's,  Syrian government officials have said that they will let aid into any part of the country? I am not sure this is possible, will the rebels let it through or will they take it for themselves?, what a nightmare for the ordinary run of the mill people, hungry cold and no form of heat not a crust to eat, they are going to have a lovely time over the next few months many will die is this acceptable??? 

Ukraine European Flash Point

The Ukraine, what next?, it just shows that people in the East do not want to be joined to Russia the peoples preference is  to be aligned with Europe, so why is it that the government does not listen, I hope that this all is sorted out before something silly happens and people are killed, it has to be remembered that it is  very cold, winter setting in so it just shows the resolve of these people to suffer the cold for a principal not many in the West would react in this manner most would sit at home in the warm and email the press about the nasty government, I think that these people are very brave and I admire their resolve, a pity we in this country do not behave in a like manner.

Local Commissioning Groups

The government said that they were giving commissioning of local NHS services to GP's, well it seems to be going well locally they are between £8 and £10 million in the red or will be, another in the Eastern Counties is something like £10 million in the red, they are really doing us proud, just what is going on how does this sort of thing happen?, is it incompetence?, is it over staffing? could be, as it seems that the old PCT's only became extinct they mostly just changed their name to a Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), reorganisation that was not needed, probably there was a need for some sort of change but this change is just destroying the NHS, you can only save so much then mistakes creep in, you only have to look at that poor girl who went in for a minor operation and she bleed to death, cuts have a lot to do with this I believe, then we have the benefit debacle new benefit is about a year or more behind! what, Oh they are really just trialling the system no your not you are messing people about mainly the disabled, this government has lost the plot all they can talk about is "The hard working people" many, many people want to work but Mr government there aren't any, mind you some employers have been to Roumania   looking for cheep employees you just could not write this stupidity.

The Trial / Gagging by the Atourney General

I found out this morning that we are not able to comment on the Trial, better not say which trial, it seems that the legal people think that these two being tried might not get a fair trial!!, so it seems that I will have to wait before I make any further comments till after the trial is over, I am sure in my mind that the judge nor the jury are not likely to read my rants about the case, so I do not understand why we have all been gagged, will have to remember this when I am told we have freedom of  speech in the UK.

The Lee Rigby Trial

Another day of horror, to watch the butchery on the streets of London is just sickening, were/are they mentally ill?, I do not think that you can use this a defence it is so easy to say that it was because I had voices in my head they told me to do it, I do not think so, this was murder in its vilest  form!, to go round and round looking for a soldier to kill shows that it was premeditated, with a malice of forethought, one of them was caught on CCTV in an Argos shop buying a set of kitchen knives, why was that?, not a sign of mental illness in my mind but then again the legal profession have a funny way of looking at things!! and a real skill in bending the truth to their needs, my sorrow is for the family who go every day and have to see  film of their son's murder in the street and have to see these scum sitting scowling in the dock, it can be said well that's their fault they do not have to go, but they do!! they have to see justice done!! I just hope in my heart that it is done and these two get 40 years no parole then deported, and would it not be good to charge the home nation of these two for their board and keep, but of course it will never happen we are so soft that we squeak when trodden on not roar like it was many years ago.  

The Trial (Lee Mills)

Once gain we have our legal system being laughed at, here we have two men  who deliberately drove at and hit Lee mills as he was walking back to his unit lines, after this they got out of the car and butchered the soldier as he lay injured on the ground all but decapitating him, all of this is on video so what is the plea of these two?, why of course NOT GUILTY, just how does that come about?, because everyone is deemed not guilty till proven guilty, so what does this mean? a massive cost to the public purse, and worst of all his mother has had to watch her son die as the video of his death was shown in court today, causing her all that grief once again, normally I would agree that everyone has the right to a fair trial, but I have to say in this case it is so obvious who and how the offence was committed the plea should have been GUILTY, but of course the lawyers need to buy that new boat or plane poor dears, if any of them had the least compassion for Lee Mills family they would have instructed their clients to plead guilty and get it all over with, there can be no defence for these two, for once the need is for us to lock these two up and throw away the key, it only worries me that the judge just might accept an explanation that they committed this murder on religious grounds. the case should finish as soon as possible so that the family can get back home and at least start to recover for the abuse that whole family have suffered, for once lets be honest get this mad trial over as soon as possible,   

Immigration

Immigration ! what an emotive subject in the UK, I see that the European Union think that the proposed changes to the benefits that immigrants can claim means that the UK is a NASTY country, these benefits will not be available to them for three months nor can they claim housing benefit, the government are concerned about the number of possible immigrants that might arrive from Rumania and Bulgaria, and so they  should, the records show that a million Poles arrived when they were able, the overriding problem is that just how many more can we take?, where is the housing?, how will the water companies manage the little water we have remember we have had many hose pipe bans for several years, how will the sewage service manage to cope with more people, and will food become a problem?, I feel that all these problems will appear very shortly, we can't produce all the food that we need now, I brought onions a couple of days ago they were from Egypt, how can all of this carry on?, we just do not need any further immigration time to close the door now not later, later will be far to late just wait and see, our masters live in a very different World to us so have no idea as to the effect of further influx of people will have on the existing population !!!! 

Scotland

Well I have no axe to grind with the Scottish Nation except for the first minister who seems to be unable to see that mistake he is driving these people into, there can't be any assumptions, will we keep our Nuclear subs in Scotland I think not so a massive job loss for a start, RAF bases will they stay?, will they be able to use the £ ?, will they belong to NATO?, the EU?, where will the money come from to support the people when they lose the benefits of belonging to the UK?, I see that the confidence of the YES vote is very strong they are allowing 16 year olds to vote, that has to be the joke of the year, I to be honest could not care less, but if this incessant tirade of the vote keeps appearing on my TV I will be pretty Pi**ed of by this time next year, I live in England it matters not to me what happens to Scotland it is their party I just hope if they leave they do not expect us to support them when it goes arse about face as it surely would do if they are stupid enough to depart from the UK. 

The Middle East

We are off again, suicide bombers on the move, so many armed factions on the go in Libya, Syria very little news, but you can be sure of one thing death and destruction is still going on, I find it quite odd that we can raise £13 million for the Philippines but make no real attempt to help the displaced Syrians, I know that the Philippines was an what can only be called an act of God, but then again it has to be our fault why?, because we are living in a way that promotes Global Warming, over my life time I have heard allsorts of reasons, so just wait it will all come onto our shoulders, remember to switch your TV off standby and everything else in your house or the climate police will be after you for being insensitive to the climate.

All these changes in the climate are they really down to us or might it be other reasons, thinking about the destruction of the rain forests for what? palm oil, that is not acceptable, you just might get two crops before the ground gives up and it useless, so they then move on and destroy more, it is not good but we have to remember these people need to live and the more money they are offered the more they will destroy.
Then we have China and India are using up world resources China importing millions of tons of oar from Australia, and tons of other products from the West, India is it seems the recovery centre for ships, not scrapped in a normal way but in the cheapest way possible and no respect for life, also the recovery of gold from old circuit boards, again children doing this work over open fires, plastic being burnt giving off toxic fumes and again no respect for human life, but again they need to live and many in both countries want big cars and of course fuel to run them, so just how do you stop this destruction of the world?, I have to say I have many questions but unfortunately
I have no answers!! or non that would be of any use.
  

NHS

Just to be sure that the NHS is a political football Andy Burnham has waded into the fray with his idea as to how the NHS should be run, he at least thinks that the changes that have been implemented through Andrew Landsley's bill are a nightmare for the NHS instead of reorganising the health service his bill has all but destroyed it, there is no excuse this bill was thought out to pull the NHS down, the mantra of save, save, save, has all but destroyed the health service as we know it, Mr Landsley for some reason or other left his post this bill was his baby he pushed it through but then vanished and Mr Hunt took over it has to be asked why was this?? why did he go ? I would love to know the real reason, but here we are going down the hill picking up speed just waiting for the crash that is bound to come, we keep being told that the government are all for the NHS but are they really ????, I am sure that they are not, it is just a cash saving game and we will reap the mess that ensues, there is of course one problem there is not one party that gives a jot about the NHS so who ever we might vote in they will be just the same all promises but no action.    

NHS

Now we finally have it, it is the intention of the NHS to have a set number of excellence for A&E throughout the country, local hospittals will only do assessments as to your needs and if it falls outside of your hospitals remit you will be moved to the hospital that is designated for your care, the reason is that A&E is at the moment unsustainable in its present form, there is a different tack to take!, stop the misuse of the service!!, so many people just apearing at A&E because they are concerned about a medical problem, mostly a problem that should be dealt with by their GP, so we need to have a triarge at the hospital not one setting you up to be seen but one where what you are there for is relevent for the department to deal with, the GP's has gotten in to a rut where anything a bit more than they think they are able to deal with they send you to A&E, that is not the answer, these patients need to be treated outside of A&E, accident and emergency is what it means not I have a pain in my arm, leg or tummy that is not in most cases a need  to attend A&E, so any patient attending A&E needs to be seen and if apropriate be sent to their GP or chemist for treatment, this would allow A&E to be more effective and the money wasted on these non patients would benefit the overall budget of the hospital, it is time to stamp the feet of the hospital trusts get real tell these people that this is not the way to get treatment make them understand that their behaviour is not acceptable and they need to get a grip of their understanding as to just what A&E means!!.

The NHS

Now we have the clinical commissioning groups closing medical drop in centres, they say that they can spend the money in better ways, so what will happen to the patients who attend these centres?, those questioned said that would go to A&E, now we all know that the government are trying to alleviate pressures on A&E and that is it seems totally opposite to the CCG's, the reason for setting up CCG's throughout the country was because the Tory party said that the Local GP's new what their patients needed, so now we have the care centres set up by the Labour government to alleviate pressure on the A&E are now being closed by the CCG's Monitor has said that these closures are a massive mistake but will anyone listen on the CCG's not likely, I on speaking to NHS workers I see the major fly in the ointment is these CCG's they are a nightmare and will given time destroy the health service, but possibly there could be a saving grace there is an election next year and just maybe a change of government and hopefully a change back to an effective NHS before it is too late.

RoyalMarine A

Well now there is a thing, the family of Marine A has had to be protected by the police because the authorities are worried that Islamist extremists will maybe attack his family, so here we are who the hell released his name??, were the media aware of his name, this is all because of PC, this trial should never have been held in open court, oh my word say the military we have to be open and above board in this matter, why??, what was the point, it could have been dealt with in camera as I said before there was no need at all to broadcast this case to the World, for what well the government can say look how clean we are, the military can say they have played cricket by the laws, so we are clean, well I have news for them they have put all our troops World wide at risk everywhere they serve, so was this show trial worth it I think not, yes he did commit a crime but in a mad house called war, the death of this man was not known about by the insurgents the way he had died was not obvious to them so what tell them now??, sort the mess out sent Soldier A to prison for a period of time say not more than 5 Years then hopefully his family will stand by him and be there for him on his release, because that is all he will have left when he is released, I have submitted a petition to 10 Downing Street asking for the sentence he is given is no more than 5 years it is awaiting authorisation when it is I will be publishing it on face book.

Royal Marines

 It is very sad that a soldier in the Royal Marines has been found guilty of murder, I do not condone his actions but I feel that a bit of common sense has to be used here, we expect these me to go out day after day placing their lives at risk, what must it be like to be out on patrol and not know where or when you might be attacked, death can be anywhere that you are, will you survive this or any other patrol, your best friend might have been killed (seven were on this detachment), so what frame o0f mind are these men in??, they have one of the enemy in their hands so what do you do?, do you give first aid? do not forget he is the enemy he has been trying to kill you and your mates, so trying to put my self in the frame of mind these men were in I believe that I would not have given a dam  as to what happened to him, as an ex soldier I understand  just what drives these men, and understand the   comradeship that exists, so in the heat of the moment to kill him would be a logical answer to these soldiers, it must be remembered that during world war 1 and 2 soldiers were told not to take prisoners!!, had this been the expectations of the officers of the HQ ??, you do not want prisoners they are more trouble than they are worth, you have to feed them look after them and need to deploy men to guard them, so what was the reality of the situation when they went out?, what were they told?, and what was the mental condition of these men?, yes the Sargent who did actually carry out the killing has been found guilty, that is the end of his career and he will go to prison, but should we not show at least a little mercy to him Life in prison is not an acceptable sentence for him a set 5 years would be better and show that we at least understand why he did it, this court action will now polarise the soldiers they will have to think twice as to what they are doing, at a  time when you need to act without thought, so will this cause the deaths of more of our servicemen?, I think it just might, and finally, it would have been far better if they had held this court action in camera rather than allowing the media splash it all over the world.   

The NHS

It seems that every day things get even worse for the NHS, now we have maternity has come to the for front, it costs the NHS £3700 per birth that to me is a lot of money but what makes it far worse is that £700 is set aside for claims for malpractice, for gods sake just where is this country going to?, why is it that if there might be a fault there is an overwhelming urge to sue all and sundry, people do not make mistakes on purpose they do not sit there and say lets mess this up they are ripped apart when things go wrong, but there is a secondary force at work here free legal advice no win no pay is their mantra, they see nothing but ££ in front of their eyes, they coerce people who are suffering such pain they are at their lowest but no matter these people just cant stop themselves money is king no matter what, death and hurt are just a means to get as much money as they can possibly get out of the public purse, 

NHS

It grieves me to hear our government try to lay all the blame for the NHS ills at the door of the last government, well they should wake up, it is their policy for the new NHS, that's a laugh for a start, they proposed to save money by doing away with the Primary Care Trust's, and bringing in a GP led commissioning group, so just what did happen, the Primary Care Trust goes and its managers some who got a redundancy pay out left but not for long they were re employed on some occasions at the same desk that they sat in before, now on a new salary but under a different flag, so where are all these savings to come from when the same people are now doing the same jobs in the same offices the only thing to change is in fact the name, so there is no real change, the big difference for me is the financial squeeze that is being exerted on the Hospitals country wide, everyone has to remember that medical services today cost the earth they do not come cheap, but we merrily swan along expecting the best service in the world at the cheapest price possible, to save money and invest more in patient care I would get rid of the clinical commissioning groups country wide, get rid of every other tier of health management and have a sole commissioning service for the whole of England, it seems silly to me that each CCG in each area it covers is commissioning the same service for every patient,  I would clear out much more, all we need is one agency not a big conglomerate to sort out the services we need, we could then afford them but while we have a top heavy management it will slowly sink in to oblivion.

Disability

What is up with this government?, just why are they insisting that the disabled have to pay the bedroom tax?, I saw yesterday that a lady who had had a £30,000 refit of her house has to pay this stupid tax, or of course Move, where to you might ask?, well to a bungalow, the doors are not wide enough for her wheel  chair, there is a big step to get in to the front door, and many other problems, the house that she lives in has been set up for her disabilities, here lies the problem, the idea that some faceless wonder has come up with is if you charge for bed rooms that are in their mind not used will allow us to charge for the rooms this will force people to down size to one or two bed room houses, the failing on this great idea is that there are few two or one bed houses, the reason for this is that the vast majority of building is for three bed room houses that is because of profit, so the game has failed!!, time to stop this silly carry on before some one does something silly because this has put them under real pressure, the whole benefit change has been farcical, homelessness is becoming prevalent families are breaking up, of course children are suffering more so this week because they will not get their free school meal, parents going to the food bank!! just what the hell is going on?, what is the point of pressurising families in this way, I dread to think what Christmas will be like for them, but this government could not care less, that can be seen in the proposed rise in MP's pay by 11% a national disgrace. 

The NHS

Now it is the question of the use of agency staff to be used to cover staff shortages, it is all well and good the government saying that more nurses should be recruited to cover these shortfalls, many occur over the weekend,  most people do not like to work weekends, but in the caring profession it is a must, but hold on!, do we not mean we need more nursing assistants?, they are the people who do most of the caring on the ward, one problem here is that many have very poor English, so can be as much of a danger rather than a benefit, Nurses now spend most of their time in university leaving with a nursing qualification but little or no experience of patient care and to make things worse to move forward you need masters degree, I have to say you do not need a degree to be able to care for sick people, many nurses new to the profession see it as below themselves to see to a patient needs, I have seen patients in great pain begging to be helped  left for an hour before any pain relief was given, so just how does the government think that by employing more nurses means a better service it will not a radical rethink needs to be undertaken taking into account the views of the patient as they know just what is happening far more than ministers do, the information they are given is in fact flawed, doctored and taken a little out of context to make things look different to what they really are.

Bio Fuel

I see that 10% of Bio Fuel is being produced in the East of England at a factory belonging to British Sugar at Kings Lynn, so much of the land in the East is being used to provide Bio Fuel, so arable food land is not being used for food, I am not part of the Green Party but this seems very stupid way to go, Europe is about to say that the arable land that can be used for Bio Fuel has to change from 10% to 6%, I personally do not believe that Bio Fuel should not be allowed to be produced on Arable food land at all, all the talk about green energy is not the reason that farmers grow crops for Bio Fuels it is solely for financial gain, many farmers are living on the bread line, money is tight so they have to diversify, sitting on a train as you move through the countryside it is mainly Yellow, Rape Seed, some for food much for fuel, it is all well and good doing this but it needs to be recognised that because the large influx of people into this country we need food and much more of it, if we are not very careful we will have fuel to drive our vehicles but no food to eat!!.

Terrorism

I am in the middle of a course on Terrorism and Counterterrorism, I was very surprised to see that there is no academic definition as to just what defines terrorism, when you look into it it become obvious that even though the terrorist threatens the West very few deaths occur, I know that many died in 9/11 and 7/7, but on a daily basis it falls into insignificants, now that does not mean that we should be  lulled into a false sense of security because that would be very foolish, our main fault is political correctness we have to be aware of the dangers that lurk in our communities and not to accept them just because they shout loudly that they are being oppressed and their human rights are being abused, that is a false hood , some of these people have been taken in by us gaining citizenship and all the benefits that this country offers, how do they repay us?, some of them choose to conspire to cause harm to us, so be aware some people are not what you might think they are.

A&E

This is first hand experience today, dialled 999 an emergency ambulance dispatched arrive within 10 mins, so far so good, all information given to the Ambulance crew who attended and I mean just about any question I could have thought of, in A&E seen by a nurse all the information given to the ambulance crew was repeated before, but one question extra "what brings you here today" again all symptoms were recorded by the ambulance crew so why the question?, next the doctor again "what brings you here today?" why twice when the symptoms were there  in black and white, so to start with possible heart attack, irregular heart beat and finally indigestion, just what confidence does this give you?, she was put in a ward of four beds two beds used, one with a TV on loud and the patient talking loudly on a mobile phone in some foreign language so not the best place to have to stop, just hope that she is discharged tomorrow, I did spend much time observing the Nurses desk, it was quite amusing to see up to 13 doctors, nurses and porters talking at the desk but still took over four hours before my wife was taken to X-ray

I did notice that she had not had any food offered her so took some bits from home I left her at 7.30pm and she had still not been fed so all this to me does not instil confidence in me for any future visits.  

The NHS

The latest insult to NHS staff their 1% rise due next year has been cancelled, well isn't that great?, as I have said many times this government is slowly taking the NHS apart bit by bit, no pay rise for several years now this, it wouldn't be surprising if many decided this is the end of the day as far as the NHS is concerned, the government keep saying that the NHS is here to stay but then reduce the finance to the NHS, we have an elderly population many suffering long term conditions, strokes and diabetes for just two, these people need many services to survive or is it the intention of the government to let these services fall behind their requirements budget wise, the outcome? well I will leave that to you to surmise, I just think that people should be aware of the problems that the NHS is  suffering, you may not have used it yet but when you have to you just might get a big surprise.

Thee Chancellor

I do believe the tory party has gone mad!!, so the people who happen to be unemployed will have to work for their benefit, just how do they propose to do that??, I am all for getting the long term unemployed into work but has anyone looked about them selves in the party, haven't they noticed the proliferation of the tattoo brigade and I am not only talking about the men, I suggest they look on Chanel 4 Deal or no Deal at 4pm, there is a young lady with tattoos all down her arms and has blue hair, now she is probably a very nice person but the image she projects is not one that an employer would want in his/her work place, looking round there are so many who just would not could not fit into the work ethic, so what are they going to do with these people?, where will they be employed?, just what will they do?, if you are not very careful you will have an angry mob on your hands and god forbid we can do with out anymore Riots but what response does the government think it will receive from these people?, one thing has to be remembered they may be useless, be uneducated a social misfit but one thing they can do is put an X in the ballot paper and it will not be a tory vote,  So Mr Chancellor stop going on about the hard working public you and your collegues have never been hard working you have never known want so may be it would be better that you kept quiet about nothing you have not the slightest idea about!!!. and I am not one of the unemployed I am retired after many years of hard work and as a tax payer I have no axe to grind with the unemployed I understand there plight a pity that the tory party doesn't.

Lee Mills

Well I have now seen it all, Lee's killers have pleaded NOT guilty to his murder, for god's sake it was on TV in full view of the World, they have both changed their names!!, who in hell allowed this??, whoever accepted it needs a size 10 boot up the bum, so now we have to have a full trial at no doubt a massive cost to the country, why do we allow these people the rights that we enjoy they do not in the least deserve our system of justice, my way of looking after them is to lock them up 23 hours a day, no one speak to them, no TV nor newspapers, no radio and no religious books whatsoever, it is time for us to stop being understanding to these people they have no respect for us so why do we show respect to them??, lock them up and chuck away the key!!.

Terrorists also Mr Milliband

So we are told it is all over!, that remains to be seen, they caught 11 how many escaped?, they even had the nerve to rent a shop so they could move arms into the Westgate Complex without arousing suspicion just how cheeky is that??

I have to say I watched Ed yesterday giving it what for at the party conference, you have to give him his due to rant on like that without any papers to refer to was really quite exceptional speaking, but that does not make him a PM candidate, the power companies up in the air about the possibility of price halt for two years, these are companies that are foreign run and make some thing like 70% profit from us over the year, all of a sudden they will not have to money to invest! why not use the share payment to subsidise the improvements, the investors will have to do with out for a couple of years like we have had to with our cash, food as with everything is rising so fast you just can't keep pace with it, so Ed you have a lot to learn it would have been far better if your brother had won rather than you, at least he was an accomplished minister unlike yourself, think again before you jump in with both feet their is always someone just ready to shoot you down. 

Kenya

Kenya once again what to say?, it just brings tears to your eyes just watching the mayhem happening live on your TV, in your living room, it then becomes difficult to realise just what is happening, you hear shots being fired you have to think "has anyone died from this shooting", fire and smoke arise from the scene "who is suffering?" innocent people of course, the hostages must be going through hell !, sick to the core I would think, what gives these people the right to kill people indiscriminately?, religion or political gain I think not, do not all religions quote love thy neighbour?, this is not a war whatever they might say, in war you at least know who your  enemies are, not like this, it is not acceptable to kill people for no reason, if you do it is murder it is pre conceived not an accident so these people are guilty they have foregone  their human rights they deserve to die but that would in their compatriots eyes would turn them into martyrs, this can't happen, the best outcome for the people of the world would be throw them into solitary confinement for the rest of their days, this would deprive them of human contact other than their guards who would be told not to convers with them under any circumstances, this I believe would be a punishment to fit the crime, but of course there are two other outcomes, one the army kills all of them before they can get out of the building (this is the most likely) or the human rights brigade will find numerous excuses as to why they should not be looked after in a humane way as they are poor deluded people who did not understand just what they were doing (this is what I would expect), they are still killing people tonight the 24th at 5pm this needs to be sorted out as soon as possible, and I pray for the hostages and hope they escape with their lives.
 

Religion

Once again we have death and destruction in the world all in the name of religion, so why is it that a religion who says it is all for peace manages to kill so many, and also the possibility of British Nationals involved, not only in Kenya but Pakistan suicide bombers mixed with the congregation of a Christian church just to kill as many innocent people as they can sent out by religious zealots told they will go to heaven, I would have thought that they would have gone to hell, it seems that 50 British men are involved in Somalia what if they decide to return to Britain??.

Bedroom Tax

Isn't this the most stupid tax anyone has heard of, the principal of moving old people from their three bedroomed houses to a one bed house/bungalow/flat is an impossibility, we do not have a glut of 2/1 bed properties in this country, really simple to understand why!, they are not sailable!, so no builders build them in fact builders always look for ways to increase the floor space on any property they are renovating, so it is a grossly unfair tax, but that matters not to the government they say they are just adjusting the benefit (social welfare) budget, so they say the benefit claimants living in social housing receive to much money in their benefit claim, so they will have to make up the shortfall from their other benefits!, so where are we?, we have anywhere up to 50,000 people in the East who are in arrears with their rent being unable to pay this tax, so what will happen to these people well they are going to be evicted, isn't that just great, I am talking about old people here people who lived through a world war, some loosing family in that war, many were involved in Suez, the Korean War, and many other conflicts, so how do we repay these people, why chuck them out on the street, the social welfare budget needs to be cut may be the best way would be to provide JOBS for people so they can work instead of having to grovel for their income, feeling sick to the core having to do it and then being belittled by the benefit office staff, if you have not experienced it please be understanding for once in your life, you may be employed have a good job no worries but you are the lucky ones life is not so good for others, so please do not criticize these people I know some do not warrant your understanding but many more do so be kind in your thoughts for them.`

My Post on the Courts

After my rant about the lady who insists on wearing her face veil in court, more has transpired about this, the lady involved who is so determined to make a stand about her right to wear a veil has I am told a picture of herself full face on Facebook which it seems blows her case for anonymity, so if she is happy to show her face on the internet what right has this women to think that she has the right to attend court as a defendant and think that her human rights would be abused if she was told to remove the veil, this is not the case, the jury has to be able to see the face of the defendant to be able to assess the validity of her evidence, I believe that the human rights act goes way to far, the offenders seem to think that they have every human right invented at their want, it is time that we re invented the human rights bill by some one who has at least a little common sense. 

The Courts

I have to say that the judge who has told the Muslim lady (I really do not know as I have never seen her) who may be a lady or not,  she will have to remove her veil when she gives evidence in her defence, that in my mind is right I as a jury member would want to see the face of the defendant while they were giving evidence facial expressions are a dead give away, so I believe the judge has every right to demand this happens in his court, this is a British court and as such the judge rules  not the defendant!, she is using our softness to her ends, she is defending herself so no doubt the judge has bent over backwards to help her defend herself, but the law is the law, we have the regular set jumping out of the wood work crying racial prejudice as normal, why do they do this, why is it that  we are not allowed to make a statement about one type of religion without being labelled as a  racist, justifiable comments are not racist at all it is racist when it is vicious and nasty and personal, many have had enough of PC and think a return to common sense might just be a better way to go.  

Power

Well at least the Lib Dems got something right for a change, all this talk of renewable energy is pie in the sky, what happens when all the school children and parents return home from school and work?, first they switch on the lights next the PC, Laptop or Games machine then maybe the TV, mum and dad would like a cup of tea and of course tea, what effect does this all have on the national grid? a massive upturn in the need for more power, so how do they do this the bring coal, nuclear or gas powered power stations, all of these have one thing in common they can be switched on line with the throw of a switch, now how can you do this with wind turbines you can't if the wind does not blow so then what, sola power is what it says solar it needs the sun to work efficiently the dark nights are no help and very little sun in the winter and if it does show up it is very low on the horizon, so how does this renewable energy work and is it green, well for a start the wind turbines cost an arm and a leg !!, are they made in this country NO they are not so we have to import them from Europe, so we are benefiting another European country not us, sola power is now the big thing so many companies trying to put it on any south facing roof they can get, the income that is promised has fallen by a half and no doubt will fall even further as the government decides not to subsidise it so highly, we have councils promoting sola panels on some of the best arable land in Cambridgeshire something like 900 acres many sacks of potatoes will be lost, we have much of the land now covered in rape seed to be used as bio fuel, the whole world has gone mad, it really makes me laugh we have many people up in arms in this country about coal fired power statins as they see them as part of global warming, then we have the Chinese who need to expand their power out put so need many power stations what are they going to use as fuel?, why coal and the advice regarding the building and commissioning of new stations is by UK engineers, so we are not allowed to have them but we will help China build them instead, I just cant stop laughing. 

Driving

Well is it because I am a little old but is it that younger drivers have no idea as to what the Highway Code says or means, some examples, you need to indicate to let other drivers know just where you are likely to go but not always you might have left it on when you left home and as you are busy talking you have not noticed that it is still on as it sticks, and what lane to get in on a roundabout oh dear which one should I use why not the left hand lane as I am going to go right or just maybe back where I cam from,  pouring with rain headlight not a chance I will though put my side lights on I can see every one who has their lights on, then we have the slip road, my personal hate  am sick to death  when driving on a duel carriageway of the idiots who seem to think this is a lane to get up to 70mph before pulling out into my lane as a car is overtaking  me I have no choice but to give way or cause a crash, then we have the female Parker's who because they have children in the car (not always it makes no difference to most), decide that they will take the only disabled bay that I was about to use even I might add when the sign says Blue Badge Holders Only, then there are the young females and males who use these bays  because they are in a hurry, If you should dare to point this misdemeanour out you will  get an ear full of every four letter word you have heard finishing with Old Man, how insulting, I passed my test before many of these idiots were still a glint in their mums eye, age brings experience, I drive to the speed limit and follow the highway code a real pity some of these people have never read it!!

Syria, Russia and the USA

Now we have it from the horses mouth, there is agreement between all three that Syria's chemical weapons will be destroyed by the middle of 2014, are they mad??, the people in Syria want them out of the way now not in a years time, will the battles still be raging??, well it has to be said YES, just how anyone believes that it is possible to get all these factions round a table must be mad, it is am impossibility, meanwhile the people especially the children will suffer, it is time to help these kids and their parents, food is getting to be at a premium, and it has to be remembered how the temperature fluctuates in the middle east, hot during the day and very cold at night, many  only have to clothes they stand up in, we all need to help, as a Champion for Unicef I would ask that everybody makes some effort to help, Thank you.  

Royal Mail

I have seen and I have heard some stupid things in my 67 years of life but the sale of Royal Mail takes the biscuit, just what is the government up to?, Royal Mail belongs to the people not private industry, has anyone heard the management begging to be allowed to raise money to invest in the infrastructure, I know for certain I haven't!!, and I would think no one else has either, they are now making a good profit and are upgrading the equipment to speed up delivery even down to trying to make delivery people to walk at 4mph an impossibility carrying a bag full of mail, I understand this was about to trigger a strike in the near future so now we can have two one down to the coalition and one to stupid management, but now down to George Osborn our lovely chancellor, in my mind this is madness, and why this week? could it have anything to do with the TUC annual conference??, if so whoever thought it up should be put against the wall and have his backside kicked, I should point out that I do not have any connection with  the Royal Mail just a concerned user.  

Syria

Here we go again, we now have Russia saying that they can get Assad to put his chemical weapons under the control of NATO, not a chance, this is just going from one heap of crap to another, if he has this type of weapons does that not make the case that it was in fact him that attacked his own people??, he is just unreal he sits there as if absolutely nothing is happening in his country, he obviously thinks that his mates in the Middle East will jump in and protect him from the nasty US/French, I am having problems thinking of this partnership, it is a receipt for disaster, but the US loves failure, so the idea of sending bombers and rockets to destroy whatever is now too late, given time gives the government so much time to move everything into the community so that any attacks now would kill many civilians that  would be a major mistake that would take many years to get over it, and then what the reaction of all the nutters in the world who would take advantage of the situation and do everything that they can to get their own back all I might add in name of their religion, mad isn't it.

Living

I need to ask just how many people in the UK have reached rock bottom, are loosing their houses, are being taken to court for non payment of council tax, gas, electric and water, are they managing to pay their rent, what about food?, we are talking about both adults and children here but children, are they being fed properly?, if they aren't their ability to learn is at risk!, but who cares about these children? not the government that's for sure, I know that the budget had to be cut but not to the extent that children suffer for these savings, but then again it seems that these savings are not likely to happen, the loss at the moment is they say £34 million, we can't afford to loose this amount of money by incompetence it is just not on, civil servants have a responsibility to the electorate to be aware of the need to not over spend on their budget.
The computer software is to blame, now where have I heard that one before?, the software purchased by the government never seems to work out of the box, why is that?, answer is that there is so much data that has to be imputed it crashes, so the software writers must have a responsibility to ensure that the program actually works or am I missing something here?, surely they do not leave any test to the system until after installation?, but this has to be, the population are having to bear the burden of these civil servants mistakes they should be held responsible for their actions and made to realise the pain they have inflicted  on some of the population, another mess we are in with no sign of an end to it, just another day in the office for some. 

Syria

Now we are seeing the true colours of the Chinese and Russians,  they show there is no respect for human life, they show that human rights mean nothing in the scheme of things, here is an opportunity to sort out Syria once and for all but No, these leaders of massive countries who have no regard to democracy a dirty word for these two countries, they are prepared to allow Assad to carry on without any form of retribution.
Putin says that he has to have strong proof of this chemical attack on his own people, we state that there is proof samples  from Damascus have been found to contain Saran, I think that even when the proof is plain for all to see the Russians and the Chinese will still say that it is not enough, again this has to be sorted out over this weekend no later, it is now very dangerous the US fleet is in place along the coast ready to fire, but there are three Russian destroyers on their way to the Mediterranean, just what might happen is anyone's guess, the time has come to sort out this mess once and for all, no messing, no scoring points just straight talking, unfortunately the Russians and Chinese have no idea about how to talk straight, so it looks as if the civilian population of Syria are going to have to carry on being killed, just because world leaders just cant sit down and make a decision, what a disgrace!!.  

Benefits

Watching TV I saw a chap talking about benefits, he was relating them to the USA, he said that all people on benefit should spend 30 hours a week earning their benefit, well I have to say many who are out of work are desperately looking and applying for work, work that is not there, you cant force people to work, if you insist that they do 30 hours a week at some menial task that has no benefit for the person carrying it out all you will do is smash their self esteem, what is the point of that?, yes there are some that abuse the system, why have they not been caught, because they know how to twist the system to their advantage, these are not your normal man/women on the street they are benefit knowledgeable, they know just what they can and can't get away with, your ordinary person has no idea as to what they can get in many instances get nothing, if the new benefit rules are fair just tell me why the food banks are overwhelmed, 100's more have been set up all over the country, I feel ashamed I never thought we as a nation would treat needy people with total disregard, it is sad that people in work can be so callous and see these people who through no fault of their own find themselves unemployed, what people in work should remember is that they just might be out of work in the future so do not slap people who are down on their uppers they can't help it, they do not need to be attacked from all directions but need some understanding, the government have made a pigs ear over the benefit system as they have the NHS, it might be better to admit this mistake before the next election because these people might just bite their bum's!!. 

Syria

I hope no one thinks that I am against helping the Syrian people, I support them all the way I hope that the world will send food and accommodation aid to the refugees, it has to be really bad in Syria if some of these are going over the Afghanistan and Turkey  boarder for safety it would be the last place I would head for, so I would like to see proper education being set up in the Lebanon, Jordan and any country that these unfortunate people should find themselves in, proper food sorted for these people, winter is on its way they are going to suffer the cold,  the West instead of firing rockets into Syria should invest in these children, they have been to hell and back investing in them now just might let them understand that we are not such a bad bunch of people and make friendships that can't be broken by religious zealots.

Unfortunately the US is very likely to send rockets into Syria, the stupid thing about this is that Assad has moved all the likely targets to other locations, so what would the point be, it is too late to do what the US thinks is best, if you give your opponent time he will use it wisely and he will be able to laugh at your attempts to defeat him, also Israel is in the firing line, as Assad cant score with an attack on the USA knowing how sick he is, he is most likely to get his satisfaction by bombing Israel, who will no doubt throw some back and off we go with another full scale war in the Middle East, you have to consider Iran, North Korea possible China involvement so is it worth while, all in all I think not a hope in hell, it is for the Middle East states to force Assad out of power and allow a democracy in all the countries but again my simplistic view has no hope so I am really defeated, I know what needs to be done but it is impossible to get it to happen.

Syria

I  hope that common sense will now prevail!, I have said many times that the West should get this mess sorted out, but only when the uprising was by the Syrian people, unfortunately this opportunity was missed, it is now impossible to help on the ground, there are so many religious factions fighting that is difficult to know who is who, so we are not able to help them on the ground which is a real shame, but religion rules the country.

Assad it seems will never give in, he is sure of help from Russia and Iran and no doubt China, you have to recognise that these three have absolutely no understanding of human rights or free speech, they treat their population like slaves but quite ones, if the US should bomb Syria it is a horrifying thought that Iran  just might attack Israel it will then become a very nasty situation for us all.

How do you stop a despot?, we have allowed many to destroy their countries bleeding them dry using the state taxes as a personal income, also happily taking money given by the UK government from My Taxes, so what can be done, would it not be a good idea to have a multi national group of soldiers that can enter and restore law and order under the UN  Security Council supported by a multi number of countries bearing the cost, I know this is simplistic but we have to start somewhere, I hope tomorrow will bring some sort of respite for the people and children of Syria.

Syria

Another day, the US and the UK trying to justify military action in Syria, no doubt a no fly zone and I would think a rocket attack on certain sites, I would say to David Cameron turn your back on it, it is not our responsibility, do you really want mad men running amok in the UK trying to blow us up because of our actions in the Middle East, they might not be people from outside the UK there are plenty of idiots in the UK who would without a doubt answer the call to kill us in the UK.

 I have to ask where is the Middle East Envoy? Mr Blair, why he is cruising on a rather large boat living the high life, should he not be doing something to sort this total mess out?, swanning about on a boat is not acceptable he should get on with the job he has.

So I have said time and time again it is the children of Syria who have  suffered, they have lost their whole family, seen their mothers raped their farther shot just what will this do to their minds, horror of this kind is not acceptable, I am sick of these religious zealot's form all sides preaching religion as the justification to wage war, Hezbollah must be loving the opportunity to fight a battle, are they looking to take over Syria who knows, then we have other mad men in Iran and North Korea just waiting for the opportunity to start other conflicts, I can see that I will be writing about this for some time more is the pity!!!!!.    Israel beware!!!

Syria

Here I am again, once again we are far too late to deal with the problems in Syria, I understand that we Britain have decided that the government in Syria have used chemical weapons against their own people, but the government of this country are not so well informed as to be able to confidently say that they know for sure that this is the truth, not possible!!.

The UN has only just today managed to gain access to the area, they have taken statements and have taken samples so even then we just might not know for sure who was the culprit is /was.

Now the devious side of me starts to think that just maybe the rebels have taken it into their heads that the statement made by Obama last year where he said that there was a red line where the world would  have to intervene and that was if chemical weapons had been found to have been used, now both sides are devious enough to do this, the rebels are not as they previously were they have been infiltrated by the dogs of war, we even know that British people are involved much to our shame, then Assad he would not stop for one second to use anything that he has to defeat one and all.

It has now gone far past an uprising against the government, all sorts of religious zealots are now involved who care not one jot for the people of Syria, so where to now?, well we seem to be now making decisions with the US and France as to what action the West needs to take, the US are moving ships close to the coast of Syria, why?, well all the better to fire missiles at certain targets, are we mad?, taking any action without the sanction of the UN will put us as targets for the mad killers out there, Russia and Iran will not in a thousand years sanction any action whatsoever.

I believe that this needs to be sorted out, action to be taken  by the US and the UK should not even be considered, is it not about time some of the other members of the UN take the action themselves?,  the countries in the middle East should clip the wings of Assad let them take the crap we have taken.

We as a country need to keep our noses out of these problems and just let others take the strain, we supported Europe in WW! and WW2 which bled the country dry, we have lost many soldiers over the past few years it is time to stop trying to be a big boy in the play ground and just sit on the outside watching how a problem evolves without having to have to bring dead soldiers home!!!.  

The NHS

I hope that people in this country (England) fully understand the threat that the NHS is under, all over the country hospitals are having to make massive cuts to their budgets, do you want to see your hospital shrink?, that is what will happen, all hospitals will contract their services only one central hospital will provide all the relevant major services in the area, cancer treatments, heart and lungs, hip replacement and much more, many local hospitals will end up as nothing more than a diagnostic health clinic, you needing to go for treatment will have to pay for transport, and family visits that are seen as a major part of the recovery process will not happen because of the cost of transport so lack of visits, so what will the general person do??, well nothing really, they will sit back and do nothing, then when they need a service they will find that it has moved and their expectations as to be dealt with locally has vanished, they had known it was happening but did nothing, people really do need to wake  up to the dangers that are on their door step before it is too late !!!!!. 

The Middle East

So it seems that the Syrian government has used chemical weapons against its own people, well may be says the West, Russia and China vetoed a UN resolution they really should be ashamed of themselves, how can any country and I include every country in the World sit and watch so many civilians die in one of the nastiest ways possible, Syria refuses to let in the UN inspectors to survey the infected area, of course they deny the allegation and are playing a sick game as the longer they keep these inspectors away so they can be sure that the agent used has dissipated and vanished, that would allow them to say "We told you so", I am told that the children suffer less as they absorb the agent quicker than adults so die quicker, if that is any consolation to their parents that is if they have any children left, they say the refugee level includes one million children, I am so sad that there are so many, they are now living in tents, no proper food or education, all the rights that we expect for own, just what will happen to them is up in the air, when will this carnage finish???, many years to come it seems, the fact that many more children will suffer  is really not acceptable, governments of the World just have to act to stop this sick abuse of children!!!!!.

Midle East

Well now Egypt has totally exploded, the army is not going to allow the Muslim Brotherhood to be in control of the government, the mistake that they made  was to try and take total power ignoring the army, they should have realised that religion will not prevail over a national army, It might not be right but that is how it is, Syria is not a lot different in that case two religious factions fighting each other one side with the help of the army, when you look around the World you can lay much of the problems that countries have at the door of religion, what does this mean for Egypt, well the tourist is not likely to go to the country, and if the past is anything to go by it will be many years before the economy recovers, the US is trying to be seen as not interfering but you  can bet that they are involved in some way, the Suez Canal is run by Egypt so it has to be in the best interests for the US to have some pull over the Egyptian government, the Egyptian army is solely responsible for the death and destruction that is being meted out, common sense says that you take cover! keep off the street!, do nothing to aggravate them!, but of course some want to be martyrs for the cause!, how silly is that?, you have a family or are part of a family religion only goes so far a family goes so much more, so I hope that stupidity stops and people start talking before many more are killed.  

The Middle East

What a nightmare that is starting to happen in so many countries that are in turmoil,  it really can't go on, someone somewhere has to sort out the mess it has gotten into, Syria is now a battle ground for any group who feels like having a go, it really makes me sick that British people are now getting involved in the fighting, for what?, religion?, no religion can justify the killing by saying that they are religious fighters, no they are not!, they are just disgusting killers who give not one jot about other peoples lives, they just kill for the sake of killing, the AK 47 rules that is if you have got one you rule if not you are dead, the sickening thing for me is that these sick people kill women and children, there is  no justification in the World that allows this indiscriminate killing, it has to stop, look at Egypt, uprising why because of religion, everywhere you look religion is trying to impose unwanted religious laws, the majority of these people in all these countries want democracy not religious oppression, there is a place for religion but it is not responsible for the law of the land, that is the responsibility of the judiciary not some religious leader, people have the right to say what they want as long as it is what he/she believe to be right and should not fear any retribution for doing this, there are some cases where you might have to answer to the law but mostly you have the right to express yourself without fear of arrest or torture, I believe that we in the UK have this right and use it often. 

England

Well we now have a couple of child killers on our hands, they have come to this country accepted our nations education for Daniel, then we have the teachers and doctors who could have and most definitely should have done some thing about this poor childes suffering he must have been frightened to death to go home, but home he went to be killed by his mum and her boyfriend, they are without doubt scum of the earth to treat a child in such a manner it beggars belief, I sincerely hope they rot in hell.

Then we move on to these stupid do gooders who are having a go at the UK boarder force, the crime that these officers are guilty of is to go on to the streets and stop people who they judge to be likely illegal immigrants, but these protesters think that to do this is racist, my God just what do they think they are complaining about, if you  are legal you have nothing to worry about, if you happen to be illegal tough luck you have been caught and hopefully removed from the UK as soon as is possible, no appeals you came in illegally so why is it that to apprehend these people is racist????, it is what many people in this country want, they want to see these people removed I hope they continue these trawls of the streets and the more they catch the better, if that opinion makes me a racist so be it, but I believe that these defenders of everyone who walks the earth are in fact the racists, they should look at just what they are trying to do it is not acceptable and they should be put in front of the courts and made to explain themselves. 

Life Today

Just look at all the madness going on today!!, Egypt in total turmoil, the Muslim Brotherhood thought they had gained control and would be able to turn Egypt in to a Muslim state, the President proclaimed that his word was all but law, now it is not surprising that a very large proportion of the population were not about to accept Muslim rule, especially women they are the people that were about to be oppressed, they would not be allowed out on the street unless covered from head to foot, not allowed to work or be allowed to drive, and for many belong to a man and to do as he says or else, the army seem not to want to be under this Muslim law and it seems wants to see a democracy some thing that the Muslim Brotherhood just cant cope with, I hope that there are proper elections and that democracy prevails or a far larger blood bath is on the horizon.    

Lee Rigby

I noticed that today  5 prison officers have been suspended, why ?, well they must be members of a crash team that has to go in and subdue violent prisoners, in this process if you resist it is very likely you will get hurt so it is logical that you don't resist, so the prisoner who went off on one is one of the killers of Lee Rigby, he is in Bellmarsh prison, held with some very nasty people, I would have thought that for his own safety he would be in solitary and in all honesty when convicted he should again be in solitary, I would think that there just might be many prisoners who would love to get him on his own, he is very lucky we are such a weak country regarding people such as him, he is fed and watered has accommodation and no doubt certain privileges regarding his religion, it has to be remembered that this man with another butchered a British Soldier on the Streets of London, he is now bleating bout the treatment he is receiving in prison, he should take care to remember himself that he is not exactly a well thought of person, many people in this country would wish him harm and at the least to be locked up to rot even that would be too good for  him, I would say to him shut your mouth you have committed an horrendous crime so take your punishment and keep quiet, we are not in the least interested in your injury's or anything he might say after all you are alive!! unlike Lee Rigby.!!.

Benefit

So here we go once again, the benefit cap comes into effect today, we now see people on the street who are all for the cap, but I am sorry to say they are so ill informed that their view is a non starter, OK so a very few people manage to get more money than they are entitled to but if proper rules were put in place this might just stop the fiddles, many caught playing the system happen to be of a non British nationality, many seem to see us as a very soft touch and as far as the government goes we are, I include Labour in this they thought they were being clever by allowing mass immigration, it is now I am sad to say  haunting us today, some people need to realise that benefit is now a total disgrace people are expected to take menial jobs that run over school finishing times meaning that if the family want to eat the parent has to work at least 4 hours so a very young child is likely to be left alone with no one to look after them, still why should the government worry you can always take the parent to court on the count of child abuse, the parents answer well I was forced to go out to work when the Job Centre knew that this was the position, so not guilty, the benefit office Guilty, the reality of the world today needs to be understood if this benefit restructuring is going to work safely, the present rules are putting people at risk especially children, so before you say cap benefits just remember you might be leaving a child with out food accommodation and warmth would you wish this on your children????.

LEE RIGBY

I have to say I was very pleased to see that the funeral of this soldier was not disrupted by any one, which came as a big surprise to me knowing just what is going on in this country today.

We are now being told that we have 500,000 foreign nationals who are possibly illegal immigrants, stateless people who are not able to leave the UK even if they wanted to, this mess it seems will take 37to 40 years to sort this out, I would think that the list is getting bigger after each flight lands in the UK, the Daily Mail has shown that thousands of immigrants are living in sheds  who is it who allows these people to live in this squalor, no WC, heating or hot/cold running water, at a cost of between £460 to £720 + to live in a shed, so who is making vast amounts of money why past immigrants some it seems are from the Muslim community I though that they were supposed to look after each other not so in Hounslow or many districts in London, and to make it a laugh we cant do anything about it, the local council has their hands tied behind their backs it has to be asked Why??, I fell that this has to be stopped and stopped now but do not hold your breath!!!!!.

NHS

I am not so sure that the new CCG's are a good thing for the Hospitals in the country, the dashboards that are being set for hospitals brings back the need to meet targets, when will any one learn that health care can't be target led, I watched the 18 week plan all but fall apart, when I have to go for an appointment no one mentions 18 weeks, and then of course choose and book I don't think so another failure, so  it is no good setting targets, the only target that matters is that the patient receives the best treatment possible, and the level of care while in hospital is the best that can be given, this taking specialities in to centralised hospitals is I believe a bit of a fools errand, when you are ill one thing is at the front of your mind that is you will be admitted to your local hospital and receive the treatment needed for recovery and the main help to recovery is the fact the your close relatives can visit you on a regular basis and by that I mean daily, a friend of mine had to have radio therapy for cancer of the throat not at the local hospital as you might think but at another hospital 45/50 miles away, for 20 days 90/100 miles a day travelling on one of the worst  roads in Cambridgeshire, that is not conducive to best patient care, it is no good jumping all over the staff in hospital we need to allow them to care after all that is what we all want do we not?????.

Terrorists in the UK

How is it that we give all and sundry asylum in this country irrespective of guilty court cases in their country, we allow them all sorts of human rights that they should not be given, most have committed terrorists acts, but this matters not, they must be given every human right available whatever the cost, the lawyers rubbing their hands with glee plenty of tax payers money, they can keep it going for years as we well know, loosing an appeal in this country not to worry we are off to Europe who of course overturn the British courts decision, it has to be time to turn this around, we need to stop this human rights junket that the lawyers are on, also any person arriving who has not got the correct papers or have fake papers should be returned back to the country of departure there and then, non of this stupidity about letting them in temporally telling them that they have to report to the police weekly, then shock of shocks they vanish into the black economy, this has to be sorted out now, we have the chance lets get it sorted reinforce the customs men provide more resources to enable them to deal with the problem, and finally, any person claiming the right to live here/asylum there should be a one off payment for the lawyers to claim, enough of this clap trap that they need vast amount of time to provide a case well you will have to do it on the cheap, we as a country can't afford these payments, and if some one wants to come to this country should be sponsored this is the way of the world many other countries have this requirement before you can travel to that country to work. I m sure this will come up again in the future.    

Royal Mail

We in Peterborough have had no mail delivered over the past two days, now I do have some sympathy with the postmen, they have to work like mad men, looking at the present system of delivery, so to start with lets look at the beginning, take the bikes off the postmen on the grounds of health and safety then give two of them a little van and a trolley to assist the postmen not having to carry the mail, now for a start the trolleys kept having a wheel or wheels falling of, great so what happens next, the postmen walk and carry the bags not one but two so where are health and safety at this point, nothing done so we have many postmen who will without a doubt have leg, hip and acute back pain, so you have to say that having a bike that carries the bag/bags so no stress on the body but here we have a management that seem to have no idea as to how to manage anything, this is no doubt the reason that they managed to get to this point i.e. a walk out, the union are of no help the conveners found it  impossible to deal with the problem, so they have had to call a convener from their head office, what these union people need to do is to get the members back to work as soon as possible, it has to be remembered that there are a few companies out there  who would given half a chance steal a lot of the work the Royal Mail does now, so get back to work before it is to late !.

NHS

Just what do we expect from the NHS, I believe we just want a service that looks after you when an in patient, that the doctors treating you accept  your questioning about your condition and to be part of the decision making regarding your condition, to be told just what to expect with regard to recuperation from any surgery, to be open and upfront about the whole treatment for your condition.
When attending out patients the same applies, you need to be told just what the diagnosis of your condition is, what the prognosis is and just what level of treatment you are to undergo. It is not difficult for this to happen, as a patient but you have to ask and ask till you are told do not just walk away without the information you need to deal with the treatment that is to follow, you should as well use the Internet to see what there is about your condition and to see any if there are any support networks to support you on your path way to good health, so remember it is your health no one else's so make sure you are fully informed.

I have to say I am very pleased that the government are about to put a brake on people who appear in the GP / Hospitals will have to pay for the services that are provided, I would say that this is a great idea but it does not go far enough, if you are not from the EU they should only be allowed to receive emergency treatment, it is not acceptable for them to obtain any other services, I have noticed that many Indian families bring their elderly parents / aunties / cousins over to the UK saying that they are hear for a holiday, once hear they obtain medical treatment for free, in one case I know of the mother was brought over for a holiday, she is now a resident of the UK as she never returned to India, the family are now in receipt of DLA including full mobility how can this be? what right has this lady actually got in this country she has arrived hear not gone home and receives all sorts of benefits, I despair, I also saw a lady who is here on a holiday she is elderly and staying with family members, this morning I saw the lady having a blood test in the care centre, if I know about two just how much abuse of our health service is happening?, it is time to stop this free to everyone in the World service we cant afford it, we have to let other countries know that we are not a soft touch and if citizen's of their country obtain health services in the UK they will be asked to reimburse the hospital concerned, after all the hospital cant get payment for the service these people have used so have to take the loss no wonder the NHS is sinking.

  

Government & Pensions

Now we have it, people like my wife and myself both have a tax allowance, I use all of mine my wife uses about one third, so each year for the past seven years we have had to pay extra because we are not allowed to transfer the left over tax relief that my wife has not used, so the Tory party are going to try and introduce the ability to transfer any left over tax allowance to your wife, husband or partner, great!, but the Liberals will not support it, and labour will oppose it, how very kind of these two parties to think this way and once again the pensioners of this country still are insulted by our elected MP's, they are going to be awarded a pay rise of 15% making their basic income some £75,000 plus expenses and then the income of any extra directorships they might obtain, may I respectfully remind them that the population of the UK is now becoming elderly, so do you in the liberals and labour realise that you just might not get a pay rise as you just might not have a job, but of course you will not have to go to the job centre as the pension you will receive will be far in excess of the standard pension that we have worked for 50 years for, may I suggest that you all get of the pensioners backs and start to be a bit respectful to the elderly you just might learn something.

NHS

Just as I thought the NHS is not keen on having patient reps, I have worked for many hours over many years sitting on committees putting a patient view for what? now we have health watch they want to take over, and it has to be a director well bless me just why does it need to be a director?, I received an email informing me that I am not able to sit on the group even though I am a registered member of health watch but that matters not, I am waiting now to next week to see just where this puts me, it really makes you sick I have attended at no cost to the NHS I have printed out all the papers sent me with the cost of paper and ink being born by me so no cost to the NHS, will the health watch do the same I don't believe so, as a director  I think would have expenses, I was a member of the PPI forum and LINk and was allowed to claim mileage and paper and at times I could have drawn the cost of ink,  but I only managed it a couple of times, I am insulted and it will take me some time to recover from this.

Canada Floods

It has gone very quiet at the moment BBC news has shown little or nothing about the problems, is this because in the West we seem to expect the authorities to deal with it, is this acceptable? I think that it might be that all Western countries should have a military regiment of soldiers who have a speciality in rescue and should be on standby to go anywhere in the Western world to help out if only providing pop up accommodation for people till they can get back into their houses, I hope the people in Calgary are safe and well and that the damage to property is minimal, after all property can be repaired,  but your health is not as easy, take care all of you and I hope all will be better soon.

NHS again

So where do we stand with this new NHS, I was told that doctors new best! they know their patients?, is all this right?, I feel not, the governments paper on health did away with Strategic Health Authorities and local Primary Care Trusts, has this happened? not likely, the PCT is now the Clinical Commissioning Group, and the SHA has now found another name to go by, so in fact we are paying a lot more for the commissioning services but the hospitals are squeezed dry, I can give some idea as to what patients want as I am one and have had to use the NHS many times over the years, what I want and need is nothing more than to be sent to my local hospital to be looked after, I do not want to go to private companies who profess to know what they are doing when in fact they are just making money and laughing all the way to the bank, we as the general public want a local hospital to look after us, they do not want to go all over England to receive treatment, many of us are old and do not travel well so we need to support our local hospital and we need to do everything in our power to keep this needed service.

Floods

No matter where in the world that you happen to live a flood is so dangerous, it is so easy to become lost in the torrent of water, just where dose such a deluge come from and why?, do we actually know?, it just shows that forecasts just might not relate to actual weather conditions that are expected, I am certain of one thing, without a doubt the insurance companies will be looking for every excuse possible not to pay out!!.

Canada / India Floods

We have had this nasty rain in the UK many people being killed and homes destroyed, many still waiting to return to their homes some 18 months later, but that does not help the people of Canada / India, it is not funny being told that you can't go to your home till the authorities say it is OK,  just what do you do?, here we open church halls or sports halls, anywhere that keeps people safe, they need help for the trauma that they are going through, in India I saw on the news houses falling into the torrent to be destroyed, they do not have the facilities that the West has, nor do they have a supply of food that is easily available, all I can say is that I pray for you all I hope you recover from this flood and I hope that you all have the help that you are going to need, may your God look over you and keep you safe. 

NHS

Well we off again!, mistakes made again, it is bad enough when they do not actually hurt people but to see that babies have died needlessly, there is no Way of justifying these deaths, the people who are responsible need to be disciplined without doubt, they had no right to be in charge of dogs let alone people, the parents should sue the responsible people and the commissions they represented, it makes me sick that they new there was a problem but instead of rectifying the problem they destroyed the papers instead, that to me is despicable, they should never be allowed to lead or belong to it in any way to do with health care, they should with out doubt be sent to prison!!!. 

Syria

Once again my thoughts turn to the conflict in Syria, the new elected president of Iran has stated that he intends to send 4,000 troops to support Assad's regime, then we have the USA saying it is going to arm selected rebels, just how you might select them is beyond me, then we have Putin's Russia, I  understand that he is the power behind Syria, supporting Assad, it is pretty obvious that the present government is dead in the water so why support it?, the USA has to be very careful just how it goes about this selection of groups it will support, just look at Vietnam, I always felt that the West should intervene but that was when it was a fight for democracy, that has now changed, we have been to involved in the Middle East, we should not be there it is not our responsibility nor really anything to do with us, all we seem to achieve is the death of our young soldiers, too many for me, the only problem for me is the children of these violent places, idiotic laws that put women down and treat them like dogs, just what is religion all about?, love and respect for your neighbours? in the Middle East not a hope in hell, the same with Turkey, what an idiot president we have here, in a country that is well known for its abuse of its people, I watched the mad police attacking civilian's with tear gas, baton rounds and water canons, the president in a speech to people in Ankara being told by this cretin that this is how the world behaves that this as it is in Europe the USA, I think not, it is not surprising that Turkey can't get into the European Union, we cant lower ourselves to allow this country in till their human rights of the people are sorted out.

Queens Birthday

As an ex soldier I really like to watch the trooping of the colour, it is a magnificent show of colour, pomp and pageantry, we should be proud that this country has such a colour full history, 1000's watching, kids loving it, and so we should, where would we be if we were a republic?, what if we did go to be a republic, I believe we would go grey, colour would leave the country, so be proud of our heritage support our troops and of course the Queen. 

Syria

I could scream this morning as a UNICEF children's champion to see that the estimated death rate of children in Syria is 6,500 how can anyone explain this to the World, I keep saying this war is not acceptable, too many religious zealots fighting for both sides, Hezbollah are in the mix as are many people from the UK, why are they there?, not for the benefit of the general population, this all started because people wanted democracy! not a chance now religion has taken over!, no freedom just a rule not any different to what is there now, oppression of women and young girls religious law will be implemented, so all these civilians are dying for nothing, then the sickest thing is that chemical weapons have been used, just how can anyone justify that?????????.

NHS

I have to say that the hospital in Peterborough is in financial melt down all thanks to a wonderful  PFI, at a fantastic cost to the people of Peterborough, the management can't manage the payments for this building, but that to me is of no matter, this came about by government ideas of the best way to go forward for the NHS, it has to be remembered that the money that built the hospital was money from a pension fund so it is of course expected that they get a fair return on their investment, but with the thought that if the now government have their way many services that are provided now will go to other hospitals, meaning that the patients in Peterborough will have to travel many miles to get treatment  it is not acceptable, people expect to receive treatment in their locality not many miles away, the cost implications I believe are no better by sending patients to different hospitals many miles away, treatment has to be paid for and in many cases so does the cost of transport come into play, it is going to be an unacceptable situation.
