Looking over the week so much has happened that it sends my head spinning, watching the mad man Trump perform at the Republican Party mad house, it make you wonder just what is about to happen in the USA?, will he win ??, in my mind I would run for cover if he does!, then we have Hillary Clinton, every one I have seen being interviewed seem to hate her, so what will happen in the world if either of them get in?? I dread to think.
Then the Russians have been allowed to go to the Olympic games in Rio, not all of them though some have gotten the treatment they deserve and been told they are banned, so a small ray of sunshine, talking of Russia I see that Mr P is again interfering in Syria, his forces are not killing the IS mad men but innocent people living in squalor, eating hand to mouth and having very little medical treatment they are dying by the thousands!!!, but Russia still keeps on bombing these poor people.
It is so sad that so many terrorist attacks are being carried out in Europe, we had it now it has happened in France and Germany, but I have to say that the police on the continent take no stick and dish out the same as the terrorists are dishing out to the population, no messing about they deal with the situation as it is then dealt with there and then.
Electricity, we need new sources of power that is a fact, EDF decided to build a new station to provide 7% of our needs, the contract was waiting to be signed, EDF decided to go ahead and the government jumped in and said they needed time to look at the contract, a bit late for that I believe, but saying that EDF is a company owned by France and some of the funding was to come from China?, a reactor was to be built that is brand new and there is not another one working in the world today!!, so when you look at it do we really want to have France having more of a stake in our energy needs, do we really want China involved??, and do we need a reactor that has not been tried and tested??, So in retrospect just may be it is a good idea to wait and look at it again.
