Syria

I have expelled my thoughts on Syria many times, I have always said that the West should sort the mess out, that might have been true when written but it seems that I have to change my mind, when I said we need to do something the fighters were mainly Syrian people wanting to be free of the Assad regime, now there are so many different groups fighting that you could not possibly know who you were giving arms to, so it is to late for the UK to do anything, you just look about to see that Russia is providing ground to air missiles to Syria to shoot down aircraft most probably of Israeli origin, and Assad has threatened to do just that, so now we have moved up a level, if Israel becomes fully involved just where will that leave the situation, the US supports Israel, Russia supports Syria, Iran has contacts with China, it will be just like playing war games, who in all of this will suffer of course the CHILDREN, Russia, China, Iran and the US can't justify giving arms to any groups, or as I believe a nasty little game being played, I just wish whoever is stops and thinks again as to the death and destruction that they are exacting on the people of Syria, I am sad to say that I am sure I will be blogging about this subject for a very long time!!

Todays News

So we are not being fare on  immigrant Europeans, we are not dealing sympathetically regarding  benefits that it seems the EU expect us to pay them, am I missing some thing here, we are cutting benefits to our own people so why should we be accused of not paying a transient population benefits that I feel that they have no entitlement to, I feel that a game is being played against us throughout Europe, we are condemned about this by the EU but in Spain we as members of the EU are entitled to free emergency treatment, but of course that is not the case, first the hospital requires that you have a valid credit card that can meet the payments and as a back up an insurance policy covering emergency treatment, so should we deny access to Spanish people attending A&E?, should we ask for a credit card?, no that would be childish, but if these games carry on I believe that we would be better off away from these bureaucrats and decide for ourselves just how our country is run.

England

I have been thinking a lot about the death of the soldier in London, the family of one of the murderers has apologised for the actions of their son and so they should, I see that cadets have been told not to wear uniforms on the street, excuse me this is England our country how is it that we have got ourselves into such a position?, well much can be laid at the door of the Labour party, they allowed uncontrolled immigration, and then made sure that we as the English were made not to complain about the actions of some preachers, it has gone on and on with little or no control, well it now seems that some of us have woken up to the dangers, I have to ask my self do I wear my Army Veterans badge or my regimental one, should I as an ex-soldier  be worried when walking the street?, from what I read maybe I should but I will not remove my badges, I am proud of my service to Queen and country and I will not be intimidated by these religious maniacs. But I will add that we need to sort out this problem now and I mean NOW!.

Soldier

Death on the streets, I have just watched the family of the murdered soldier, so,so sad, I thought I was a strong person but tears were in the corner of my eye, as a soldier you can expect to be put in a war situation, you know that you might be killed at any time in that situation, but to be murdered on the streets of your capital city is just not acceptable, can someone explain to me if these people are Islamic terrorists are they Muslim or not?, the Muslim community have to take responsibility for this outrage, they know who are the manic preachers in their mosques it is  for them to weed them out and send them back to Pakistan they are as far as I am concerned persona Non Grata, the Muslim population of this country have to realise this is the WEST, we have a different life to them, we are a   Christian country so this has to be respected, the preachers who come from Pakistan do not understand this, so they promote hatred and destruction to the West but for some reason they are allowed to stay, am I right in thinking that we have a law regarding religious abuse, this was I think to protect the immigrant population but as we are being abused why is the law not being implemented? and these sick people allowed to preach their hatred of the West?, you happen to be in a free country a democracy! something that you just can't comprehend, abide by the law, or just go! please you are giving me a headache.

Murder on the Street

As an ex soldier I find it so sad that a religious group can murder a soldier on the streets of London, but why is it that we are told that we should not upset the Muslim communities, I have to ask why not?, at this moment in time the only thought I have is that we should be thinking of this soldiers family nothing else, of course some of the more violent members of our society will no doubt seek retribution, it is not at all acceptable that soldiers can't walk the streets without worrying about attack, I have experience when the IRA were intent on killing British soldiers in the UK we were not allowed to wear uniform outside of camp unless on duty, we  were allowed to have longer hair than the army normally allows, so what can be done?, well may I respectfully suggest that all Mosques look at their selves have they a radical preacher?,   is he preaching hate and death and destruction to the West,  if yes we should with all speed DEPORT them!!, no appeals, no human rights just deport them NOW, we as a nation cannot be expected to allow people who have nothing but hatred in their being  that excludes them from the community, we do not need them.  .

ATOS

Just what does this company think it is doing?, I can give them an idea, they are destroying some peoples lives, especially the disabled, they have one way to go and that is to refuse all claims unless they are in fact dead, there is no thought regarding the consequences of their actions, they deny all responsibility for the actions they take, the minister seems to think that every one on DLA is pulling the wool over the governments eyes, that is not true, many are living on the bread line, decisions are made on very little information, I happened to sit in the medical centerer being used by ATOS and saw a very poorly man on crutches come out of a room struggling, behind him I could see a man sneaking a view of the man from behind, to me seeming to want to try and catch the gentleman out, I found the experience quite  appalling, so I find the behavior of the government and this company beyond comprehension, I know there are many people who are on the take, but look at them!, would you employ them, they have no chance of employment, they are a product of the 80's, it is our fault so we have to pay for the problem, I know this is simplistic but that is how it is, that is of course you know better.

News

I have been rather depressed over the past couple of days, seeing that the government better known to them have jumped on the gay marriage band waggon, why? I ask myself they have no mandate to this affront to many people, I am not against gay people having the right to civil partnerships, though it goes against everything that I was brought up to believe in, my moral standards are from the 50's, I can well remember gay men to have to go to prison for as it was then known as buggery!, where did that go?, so it is now  acceptable in today's World but I can't agree with gay marriage and never will, then we have this street grooming, it seems that Muslim men have the need to abuse both physically  mentally and sexually young girls , drink, drugs, sex abuse is what these men do to white girls many who are in care, , we are told that this problem is prevalent throughout society, is it?, I am not so sure, the problem is that some people in our society seem to think that all young girls are fair game, well think again you will in the end get caught and will go to prison for a very long time, and for me I hope you rot in hell.

Syria

Back to this massive problem, Obama stated that if chemical weapons were use his red line would have been crossed, so it seems pretty certain that they have in fact been used, the crazy thing is that it just might be that both sides are just a guilty, but that matters not, the fact is that at least 1.5 million refugees have left Syria, how do we expect countries like Turkey to accept refugees they have an awful human rights policy, so what chance these poor people from Syria who thought that they just might be about to get democracy, not a hope Russia is providing the Syrian government with all the weapons that they might need, so back to the USA, the red line has been crossed so what has happened ? , nothing, Obama is worried about Iran and just what might happen if the US gets involved in further military action, of course Russia and China are just as dangerous, so nothing is going to get done for these poor civilians who have to put up with death and destruction on an hourly basis, as I keep saying children are the future of Syria, killing them out of hand is such a massive war crime that every one involved will need to be tried for, but you know as well as I do there is little chance of that happening.

New Day Same Problems

So A&E is in turmoil, what a surprise I have said it so many times that too many people go to A&E for injuries that are not so serious as to need the departments care, it has now gotten to epidemic proportions, so what should we do, well it has to be education of the general public, that will be a lot harder than you might think, for now maybe a TV advert hard hitting might be the answer  but who knows, another thought is to have a GP  in A&E who can deal with the patients who do not need A&E care, I think that this is a great idea and should be implemented country wide.

Europe?, I well remember the vote to join the common market not the big Europe that it is now, if at the time I had known what was to come I would never have voted "Yes". Do we want to keep pouring money into the EU that seems to me to have become a massive gravy train, I lived in West Germany as was during the 70's and workers were allowed in to work but as soon as the contract ends you are out of the country, no chance of living there many Turks worked in Dusseldorf but they had to return to Turkey as soon as the job finished, I am not at all sure this is the way that the new Germany operates but I would not be surprised if they still do this, we here all the clap  trap about  the desperate need for workers in the UK, why is that as we have 2.5 million out of work, look all round Europe and ask just how many Eastern European migrants settled in the rest of Europe rather than the UK, what is the attraction?, we are whatever the government says the soft touch of Europe, why would anyone try to get into the UK on the axels of a lorry if they had not been told that we are stupid enough to dish out money and to get accommodation so they line up by the hundreds desperate to get into the UK, and sooner or later they will find that lorry that has gotten through customs with out being checked, they will be in to disappear into the country side to go who knows where, we have to take a firm hold and make sure we have a balanced number of migrants, the gates have to be closed before it is too late.

NHS

I see that nurses are saying that ward staff levels are at danger level much of the time, how is that?, the government says that it is up to local hospitals to assess staff levels, that is not good enough!, low staffing is when patient safety is at its lowest, lack of food, lack of water = death, that is not acceptable, you, when elderly and even when you are young  should be safe, fed and watered, not left to get on with it,  staffing levels have to be sufficient for a ward to operate to the standards that are set for it, patients are admitted for treatment and then recovery, the very important medication for a patient is good quality food, this aids recovery, but many are allowed to miss this important medicine, leading to longer recovery time, and leaving the patient sicker than they were when they were  admitted, so the weekend arrives 4.30pm or even earlier its a Friday, so time for golf or taking the family away for the weekend, but what about the patients, you have to laugh Friday morning every ward is trying to get rid of every patient possible so there are as few patients as possible for the weekend, patients accept this because they just want to escape from the hospital, they will not often tell you about the way they have been treated, the reason for this is that they are frightened that by saying just what the treatment was really like  if they complained they might receive retribution from the ward staff and consultant the next time they are admitted.
In the CARE profession every day is a care day, I have always worked a shift pattern that included two weekend a month with a chance of being called in if someone went sick, in the care system there are no weekends or bank holidays every shift pattern covers every shift and everyone takes their share of the tough shifts that is what work means, you are being paid to look after the well being of the client, you can't run on less staff than required it just puts great pressure on the staff who just might have to cover for the sick staff member, so the NHS needs to ensure that all wards are sufficiently staffed before we have major health risks to patients, the paper on health suggested that the patient was at the front of the care they received I have to say that is not the case there is no way that the patient leads his/her care, the NHS will have to change massively before this ever happens.

Mobile Phones

What is it that people feel that they just have to text while driving, for Gods sake it is against the law, so why?, when driving things change so fast that if you are distracted by texting someone you are going to kill either yourself or more likely others, how is it that you just might escape from a crash?, simple really you are not looking at what you are driving at so when you hit you are relaxed so your body takes the collision easily as you were not tense, your passengers were tense, the other driver if there is one is tense, this tension means that the body is stiff waiting for the collision to happen, and so damages many organs or bones, the question is was it worth the message that you sent?, not a chance!, you should if I had my way be locked up for a long time,  anyone caught by the police should have to attend court to explain just why they were either texting or taking / making a call they should not get the £90 fine on the spot they should get a magistrate sentence that can be more realistic after all the previous fine did not deter some drivers many felt that it was worth taking the chance as they were  very unlikely to be caught and no doubt this new higher fine will be ignored as usual, there is no escape you are a mad person to even think that using a phone when driving is safe and if you do you should be banned from driving for a long period, it is with out doubt twice as bad a being drunk, why?, because you are making a sober decision to use your phone so you do not have a defence, stop now  before you hit and kill me !!!!!!!!.

NHS

I had an appointment this morning at my hospital, like a good patient I arrived at 9am for my 9.15am appointment, I was moved to the clinic area after being weighed and my blood pressure taken, I then went to the waiting area, on sitting down it was 9.10am, I noticed that there were quite a few patients waiting, many more were to arrive and go as I sat and waited and waited, now as the clinic started at 9am, I asked myself how was it that I was still waiting at 9.40am, things seemed to be going on all round me but I did not move, finally a houseman called me in explaining that the consultant was unavailable this morning, so I finally went in at 9.50am and did not come out of the hospital till 10.20am, I know that is only an hour and a half but this lack of keeping to appointment times is irritating, if I am late they will not see me but they can keep you hanging around for as long as the want, it would have been different if I had been told they were sorry but no, so not a good patient experience, they need to change their mind set, things have changed patients are more aware of the service that they should expect, I only hope that they make their thoughts known to the NHS because if they don't it will never change.

NHS 111

I spent 2 hours sitting listening to the 111 promotion in Cambridgeshire, we were assured that all was in place there would be no major problems just minor ones that were just the expected glitches, but all would be well, on overwhelming of the A&E service, if you look at this part of the country and I am talking about North Cambridgeshire the A&E department has always been overwhelmed, the new hospital still has the same problems, not the hospitals fault I might add, but the inability of the old PCT to deflect non A&E patients attending, who have no need of the A&E services, there is a walk in centre but the previously vibrant building with much going on is now dead very little happening much of the previous occupants have departed!, I am told that the rental cost is too high so the ship has been deserted, it has only been open a short time and still as new so this s a bit of a shock to me, may be as it has been taken over by the NHS property's services has some thing to do with it, I well remember being shown round and thinking this is a great place, the patient experience will be good, good facilities, especially hot food tea and coffee, lifts that actually worked and a clean environment for everybody, but now so quiet, we have a very large Eastern European population they just can't accept that they do not need emergency treatment, I believe that many normally attend their hospital in their own country so it is not surprising that the do it here, I believe that we have to deflect them to the walk in centre or during surgery hours see a GP, but things are not that easy are they?, my family needed help one Saturday afternoon, as I was aware of 111 I rang it and the answer machine told me that call back was in 6 hours, but I stayed on the line, finally about 1 hour later they called an ambulance, we had to ring a further twice over one and a half hours finally to be told to ring 999, this after 25 Min's brought a fast response unit who was unable to really help as an ambulance was needed, this took a further half an hour, so I was not best amused by the service offered, but I hoped that it was just a glitch, but watching the news over the weekend the whole country seemed to be up the creek without a paddle, the A&E service was going to be overwhelmed but to day it seems that there were problems but not to the extent that was being expected, so its all OK, but just what will happen at the next holiday I dread to think!!.

Summer/ Syria

Well has it arrived?, lovely sunny day some light cloud at times but on the main a nice day, lovely to see all the kids out playing, mum's and dad's out on their bikes taking in the holiday air, it is really great to see, felt really good till I saw the TV news, Syria again!!, children killed by who ever, each side blaming the other, there were pictures but they were so horrific that they could not be shown, it matters not who did it, these are children, they trust adults, they are usually not frightened but here we have blatant killing of young children, I have to ask just what is the point of killing them?, does it make it a better news story?, will it keep the conflict at the forefront of news bulletins?, probably but it does not excuse the perpetrators of the crime they have committed, no doubt it will be unlikely that they will be caught, but they do not deserve the right to be called Human because they are not!, they are the scum of the earth, they have no rights in my eyes, they should be locked up for life never getting out into the World again, they should be made every day to look at the pictures of the death and destruction they are responsible for so that they never forget the torment they have caused to little children the future of Syria.

goverment again sorry

So I was right the only people that the government will listen to are the "hard working"!!!! no one else, not the elderly nor the disabled not the unemployed, just the people who are in work the lucky ones, so just what does the government  and labour think just what the public might do?, well it seems all three party's think that this is just a blip in the ocean next time no one will vote for UKIP, well if I was plotting election success I would be very careful they just might not be clowns or idiots, they might be a party of the future!, you have to laugh to see the Tory's Labour and the liberals talking down  the UKIP councillors, we will have to wait and see they just might be the people that this country needs, we don't need the Tory's nor Labour nor in fact the Liberal Democrats, I think that it is a racing certainty that the government will change hands at the next election!! so who will we get next?, I have my thoughts have you yours?.

elections

I have had a real good laugh, the Chair of the conservatives came on said it was nothing more than they expected, they understood the feelings of the people!!, I don't think so!!, he believes that the bad showing is down to the hard working people telling them something, well may be they did, but I would have thought that the elderly, unemployed and disabled were also telling them something, but of course the only people who matter to this mixed government are the very lucky ones who for the time being are employed, I say that because you are just as likely to find on Monday that you have joined the massive ranks of the unemployed, there are thousands who are desperate for work but  just can't get a job, it is not their fault, they try every which way to work to no avail, so what about them?, all of a sudden they are in the ranks of the lazy  unemployed they do not deserve to get benefit according to this bunch of idiots in Parliament, these are not people who have lived off the state for all their lives just some one who desperately wants to work but there is just nothing for them, so mister government minister just what does he / she do?, just how many are loosing their homes and worse still their families?, and who takes responsibility?, I have to say I am so pleased to say my working life is finished thank  God because I just do not know what I would do if  my family found themselves in the position some do to day, I just hope things do get better for them, but I have to say "there but the grace of God go I" some MP's ought to think about this as it will not be long before many are unemployed!!.

Football

Just what is happening to football?, I remember when it was a nice enjoyable visit to a stadium, now it seems to be a joke, these footballers are in fact laughing at the paying crowd, what does it matter if the team wins or looses?, we have the cheats and cheats they are what ever way you look at it, they fall over in abstract agony only to get up and fight another day, when you see the replays you can see that some players  are not even touched go down like a bag of spuds, silly really, but there is so much money sloshing about in the premiere league that it is beyond belief, the players who can be on £200,000 a week this is not a real situation for us, so many people on the bread line in this country and these prima donnas bleeding football dry and laughing all the way to the bank and not giving a dam, so the supporter pays more every season and the players want more, the whole thing is a great big never ending con and the supporters are paying through the nose, I am glad that I got off the boat when I did!!.

foxy knoxy

So the Italian's court system wants to retry her, she was found guilty and was sent to prison, but you are talking of a US citizen, what chance of this happening just about nil, she has written a book about it, and has the nerve to ask to see the Karcher family to tell them what their daughter said about them, as if they would want to know!, so she has also been on TV to claim her innocents, I am not convinced at all, she said she knows nothing about the murder and that she was not in the house at the time so if that is the case just how  was she found guilty?, it seems that the Italian legal people the press and the general public who I am sure followed the case intently, believe that she was guilty, so where are we now,  she will it seems be tried in her absence as it is very unlikely that she will be extradited, Italy holds the blame, knowing there would need to be a retrial  why on earth did they allow her to leave Italy in the first place, it is amazing just what money can buy, your ordinary person will not get away as they do not have money, if she had been found guilty in the US she would never have been released for the rest of her life! a set of double standards me thinks!!
