My daughter went down at 3.30pm finished at 6.15pm, she was awake during most of the surgery but was put to sleep nearing the end of the two procedures, hopefully this will be the end but it might not be we will just have to wait to see, had to go rushing out this morning to rent a wheel chair good value really £20 for ten days, just got it in time, she was discharged but had to wait for her medication, nurses said that they are only allowed to ring the pharmacy ONCE, and more is considered harassment, that means the patient waiting to go home is held waiting on the whim of the pharmacist on duty, so instead of leaving at 10.30am she was finally allowed to come home at 1.15pm a bit of a joke really, there must be a quicker way for this to be done, most patients when told they are to be discharged are ready in a trice to leave, but then the pharmacy holds everything up, it can't be that difficult they only dispense as few an amount that they can get away with so it can't be that difficult, and as they are behind closed doors that says it all. Any way she is home now six weeks to go , starts on Monday visit to the GP, then a further visit to the hospital in two weeks so Hey Ho here we go.
