Syria

Now we have it some 500 young men of British nationality are fighting the Syrian government forces, they are promoting the war in the UK by brain washing young Asian men, this is in fact trying to coerce  them into the religious zealots who have no interest in the rights of the Syrian people, their rights went out of the window when these religious mad men went in under the banner of freedom, they would not know freedom if it hit them full on in their faces, all these fighters want is to impose a religion on them them restricting their rights and ability to live in a democracy, a democracy is not allowed religion rules, women are second class people who have no rights whatsoever, it has to be asked just what will happen when they return home?, knowing us we will leave them alone we are not allowed to infringe their civil liberties no doubt all the do  gooder solicitors and lawyers will plead for them using the right to a life with their families a right that they would take from the people of Syria, we have to be ready to allow extradition for what can only be War Crimes we cant allow them to return as free people they have given up their right to citizenship of the UK, they should be removed to the country that they arrived from as a "persona non Gratia" with no right of appeal.

Ukraine

It looks like we just might need to get our tin hats out!!, Russia is intent on winding  up the intervention in the Ukraine, they are determined to break the Government, this all is at the door of the fact that the people of the Ukraine did not want closer ties with Russia, that is the people, Russia might take note that the people do not want Russian oppression, but that matters not to one person involved in all of this, he thinks that what he says is true! I think not I might be blinkered by Western propaganda but I believe my view is balanced, it is not bowed by any political bias I am just a person of this world, what I have is the freedom to write this blog without fear, I can say just what I feel on a subject be critical of world governments and form an opinion on what I see and understand, I have to  say though we are in a very traumatic period of time who will back down? because some one will have to or will a war ensue from this??.

Ukraine / Syria

It seems that my thoughts regarding the Russian intervention in the Ukraine, Russia is in fact destabilising the eastern region, it is obvious that the people causing the problems are not the local population but Russian backed groups, their dress and weapons link them to Russia, the agreement that Russia was party to was that all these people were to disarm and return the buildings to the Government of the Ukraine, has this happened? not a chance!!, so who do the Russians blame why of course the Ukraine Government, their involvement is a disgrace and shows that Russia is not competent in the World today, they should be excluded from any decision making regarding this country and any others that they have a finger in, what the World wants to know is just what do the Ukrainians want?, that question has nothing at all to do with Russia and in fact nothing to do with us!!, the only time intervention is justified is when the government asks for help no one else!!!.

NHS

I am now up to Monday still in hospital waiting for what?? I have no idea, rotten food it is just getting worse, long day mainly boredom unable to get a signal for my phone or internet access, I would have thought in todays day and age Wi-Fi would be provided even if you had to pay for it, but no so what to do?, next day Tuesday great the ward doctors have come to see me I can go home today, Hooray cant wait, managed to send a text to my wife about collection of me, then along comes another doctor who very kindly tells me that she is not letting me go home I am instead going to Papworth for further investigation and away she went never to be seen again, really unhappy and depressed, then along comes another doctor to tell me that I am not now going to Papworth but will be having an angiogram at 9am tomorrow (Wednesday),
Its Wednesday, have to have an early breakfast its 6am, asked for two slices of toast!! no can't have toast as the staff are not allowed to cook, so why wake me up if you can't give me what I ask for??, bloody silly if you ask me, so off  down for the procedure at 8.30am back on the ward at 10.10am, too late for anything to eat so starving no one seems to remember I am a diabetic!!! and need to have food, finally had something to eat at 12.30pm.
The doctors tell me that a heart bypass would not extend my life, so stenting at Papworth at a later date and changes in medication would be the way forward, my case is going to be reviewed and I will be given an appointment for this to happen shortly.
So Discharged finally at 5.15pm cold  but happy to have escaped, I had to have my medication looked at as I was just knocked out all of the time unable to concentrate, difficult focusing my eyes on anything, four tablets taken away now I at least feel alive, but still very weak and tired.

Ukraine

I just knew it was too good to be true, the Russians are now blaming the Ukrainian government f or breaching the accord that the Russians agreed to, now I might be wrong but was it not agreed that the people who had taken over the government buildings in Eastern Ukraine were to be given back and they were to disarm, non of this has happened so what does Russia do why blame the Ukrainian Government, it seems that Russia is unable to understand that the majority of the World see it as an oppressive country who has little though or care about life, freedom of speech is not allowed democracy is a joke, they are in all honesty a stain on the World it would be better if they once again put up the wall, and stay out of World affairs, you only have to look at Syria another of Russia's failings in the World, it seems that they take great delight in causing pain and suffering every where they possibly can with no thought as to what that might do to the people of the country they interfere in, I have to say you only have to think back to world war 2 to remember the many British sailors who died getting supplies to the Russians in their hour of  need, now they slap everyone in the face!!.

NHS

Its Friday morning and its 6.30am time to get up, had breakfast then the consultant appeared, his first question was why are you not on the cardiac ward, how would I know!, so off he went, the day dragged on till 3pm when I was sent for an echo cardiogram told that it was good reading so taken back to the ward, had tea, then told to pack my bag I was being moved to the cardiac ward, packed my bag got in the wheelchair and then had to get out as there was no bed, this happened twice more by then it was 7.30pm, the nurse then told me that I would not be moving that evening, so unpacked my bag once again and settled down for the night, at 7.50pm a porter arrived telling me I was being moved to the cardiac ward, I then lost it and refused point blank to move!!, a consultant and a matron were sent for to try and convince me that it was in my best  interests to move, but I was having non of it, but finally gave way and was moved at 8.30pm, the cardiac ward was no different to the short stay ward, but I suppose it must have been a better option for me, of course it was Friday evening so no doctors about, so another day ended.

Ukraine

Well bless me the Russians have at long last spoken some common sense, or might it be that a certain person has bottled out for once, things are getting a little hot in the Eastern region of Ukraine, it is obvious that these Russian speaking Ukrainian's who seem to be dressed and armed  just like Russian soldiers or am I mistaken?, could it be that Russia has been provoking all of this conflict to test out the West?, your guess is as good as mine, just what goes on in little brains is beyond me, so much pain in the World why do some people find the need to inflict more?, just a sorry sad person.

NHS

Thursday morning, breakfast, corn flakes and toast not enough butter but what can you do??, had a cup of tea!! well that is what they said it was but it was so weak I just could not drink it, soon learned to have a mug and your own tea bags brought in so you can get a decent cup, then you have a Menu for the day, so I thought I would have fish and chips with mushy peas, with rhubarb and apple crumble with custard, tea a baked potato and salad, so a mad house all morning doctors everywhere, mine arrived looked at the notes fist words to his registrar were "5 days" meaning it seems I was to spend the next 5 days as a guest of the hospital and I was to be moved to the cardiac ward, so lunch arrived a plastic container that had water on it then the plate of food ???, and a clear cover then it is microwaved or so I am told, that is steaming that is told you to put you off track, the chips were a non event about 10 on the plate, the fish was a reconstituted fish burger type with disgusting mushy peas, the saving grace was the crumble, I did notice over my stay everyone seemed to order this on every occasion they could.
tea arrived at 5pm, my baked potato had never seen the inside of an oven a microwave yes, now they do not have  any salad so a sandwich was suggested, what can you do, then cup of tea,  coffee or Bovril for a bed time drink and a packet of biscuits. So ended my first 24 hours as a guest. I am still in the A&E Short Stay ward, no move to Cardiology yet, I wonder if I will be moved during the small hours of the night we shall see.

NHS

When I last wrote this blog I had gotten as far as the Ambulance, on arriving at the Hospital I was admitted to A+E, put on a bed and connected to the machine  and given Oxygen, it was very busy bloods taken and ECG, finally saw a doctor at about 7pm, he had to take blood from my artery in my arm very painful, he was back in seconds to put me on an Oxygen mask to get control of my oxygen levels in my blood as they had fallen to 84/85 out of a 100 normal might be I am told 96/98, then the blood results showed that my levels that should have been 15 were in fact 2000  a heart attack it seems, so my wanting to get off home fell by the way side and I was admitted to the short stay ward, to bed number 44, it was by that time 9.30pm, first thing that happened was that a doctor took my oxygen mask and threw it in the bin and put me on those rotten nose ones that irritate you no end but there you go, so to sleep I went well for a little while as I was on a furosemide drip you nurses will know that this is a water medication you never take it after early afternoon if you want a nights sleep consequently I was up all through the night, but I was woken up by someone tapping me it was very difficult to see as I did not have my glasses on and I was very disoriented all I could see was a set of teeth telling me I was going to be taken to the Cardiac ward, at 2.20am a team arrived unplugged me and moved me from bed 44 to bed 1 still on the short stay ward, where I was woken again at 6.30am as the night staff wanted to get all their work completed before the day staff arrived it is now Thursday Morning 7am, More to follow, it gets better or might be worse!!!, you will have to read on.

NHS Hospital

Now I have to say I have just experienced a really rough time of my life!!, all thanks to the NHS, feeling very ill two weeks ago my wife dialled 999 for emergency action, I was at that time suffering from what turned out to be a Heart attack, the actual symptoms were that I was gasping for breath desperately I might add as my breath was a very laboured crackling and not providing the oxygen I needed, so you would think on a stretcher into the Ambulance, but no the paramedic who was great I ,might add had gone to phone my doctor to ask him to come and visit me latter on that evening, my doctor replied not a chance take him to hospital, some time later and I mean some time later, an ambulance arrived with a team who seemed to think that they were doing the doctors work for them and that I was just putting it on, so much so that I was told to walk to the ambulance even though I was having trouble breathing, this walk caused me even more stress and made things worse for me  I was not allowed to lay on the bed but put in a seat in the back, then had to move again to let my wife sit next to me the ambulance was very cold and the doors at the back left open so every one and their kids could stand and watch just what was happening to me, finally the doors were closed and we moved off  to hospital, please read the next blog where I will carry on with my arrival and admittance to the hospital.
