I am now up to Monday still in hospital waiting for what?? I have no idea, rotten food it is just getting worse, long day mainly boredom unable to get a signal for my phone or internet access, I would have thought in todays day and age Wi-Fi would be provided even if you had to pay for it, but no so what to do?, next day Tuesday great the ward doctors have come to see me I can go home today, Hooray cant wait, managed to send a text to my wife about collection of me, then along comes another doctor who very kindly tells me that she is not letting me go home I am instead going to Papworth for further investigation and away she went never to be seen again, really unhappy and depressed, then along comes another doctor to tell me that I am not now going to Papworth but will be having an angiogram at 9am tomorrow (Wednesday),
Its Wednesday, have to have an early breakfast its 6am, asked for two slices of toast!! no can't have toast as the staff are not allowed to cook, so why wake me up if you can't give me what I ask for??, bloody silly if you ask me, so off down for the procedure at 8.30am back on the ward at 10.10am, too late for anything to eat so starving no one seems to remember I am a diabetic!!! and need to have food, finally had something to eat at 12.30pm.
The doctors tell me that a heart bypass would not extend my life, so stenting at Papworth at a later date and changes in medication would be the way forward, my case is going to be reviewed and I will be given an appointment for this to happen shortly.
So Discharged finally at 5.15pm cold but happy to have escaped, I had to have my medication looked at as I was just knocked out all of the time unable to concentrate, difficult focusing my eyes on anything, four tablets taken away now I at least feel alive, but still very weak and tired.
